BRITTANIE HUDSON

Investing in our youth always brings in dividends. Brittanie Hudson is contributing to the health and welfare of her community as she pursues her chosen profession as a Registered Nurse. We’re pleased to say that the AWHF helped her on the way.

Brittanie completed her Bachelor of Nursing Program at Dalhousie University and was a recipient of the Annapolis West Kings District Bursary from 2009 through 2012. “The Bursary provided me with the opportunity to focus on my studies by supporting me financially”, she explains.

As a participant in the program Brittanie also secured a full-time permanent position on the Medical Unit at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville. She says that working on the Medical Unit has allowed her to continue her learning curve as an RN and to enhance her skills as a nurse.

“Being a Registered Nurse is an extremely rewarding job. I love going to work knowing I have the chance to help the members of my community.”

Brittanie believes that the Bursary Program has played a big part in her success. “Whether you are pursuing a career in nursing, nutrition, physiotherapy or another health-related career, the bursary provides you with the opportunity to get where you want to be.“
